Indiana, AUG 06, 2020 - Co-Alliance, LLP, an Indiana-based agricultural cooperative and Harvest Land Cooperative have agreed to pursue a merger. This was announced on Thursday.

According to Scott Logue, CEO of Harvest Land, the merger will present outstanding opportunities to farmer-owners in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. The availability of expanded resources, the extension of quality service, and a more robust product line will go beyond what the two cooperatives could have offered working individually. Logue also anticipates great success in cultivating opportunities for Harvest Land’s members through this historic merger with the team of Co-Alliance.

Kevin Still, the CEO of Co-Alliance added that the opportunity to merge with Harvest Land presents both companies with a chance to uplift their customer experience and also meet the growing demands of the fully dynamic agricultural industry. He also talked about his excitement to bring this new and powerful combination to their grower members.

According to reports, the merger would bring efficiencies to the agronomy, swine, animal nutrition, and grain services of the respective companies. This represents the importance of scale in the cooperative model serving local farmers.

Co-Alliance and Harvest Land coincidently already partnered on the United Agronomy Services, LLP which is a full-service agronomy retailer in Indiana. This location has remained a top performer for both the parent companies.

Co-Alliance has its headquarters in Avon, Indiana but is present in more than 50 locations across Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Michigan. Industry expertise, quality products, leading-edge technology along with innovative solutions in energy, grain marketing, and animal nutrition are just some of the verticals towards which they work.

The merger will seek to make customers’ lives easier by becoming their local resource for various products and services that will be offered. Community service will be in favor of adding to the quality of life. The merger is expected to complete in 2021.
