Codeshare partnership Agreement set to bring both Gol and American Airlines together

Elkland, United States, Feb 14, 2020, 03:40 /Comserve / -- A codeshare partnership agreement had seen the light of the day, with American Airlines partnering with Gol through a codeshare partnership agreement, wherein it would provide access to customers to at least 20 new destinations in South America.

An increase of flight service to reach Rio de Janeiro from Miami has also been planned by which a second daily flight is expected to be added during the winter this year.

The opportunity to allow more people to enter Latin America from Miami has been planned by which at least twelve (12) flights are expected to be added from six (6) cities of the United States.

Earlier, Delta, another major airline carrier had cancelled the deal with Gol, that was followed by a stake acquisition in Latam who was one of the competing rivals in the industry.

The president of American Airlines, Robert Isom stated that the company is proud of its strong presence in Latin America. At least 170 flight being operated on a daily basis to South America, including Admirals Club Lounges as well as dedicated Premium Guest Service teams present in Mexico City and other places such as Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

As the deal has gone through, it can be expected that American Airlines would be adding more services to several new destinations in South America that have not been served till date.

The flights operated by Gol have been providing their services to various destinations such as Paraguay, Asuncion as well as various other destinations in Brazil.

The codeshare would enable and permit customers to obtain seamless connectivity to at least 53 Gol flights that go beyond Sao Paulo, Brasilia and Manaus, once they obtain the approval of authorities from both the United States and Brazil.
