A new and innovative TBEM10 emergency power back-up source was launched by EarthTronics, a leading company involved in delivering energy-saving products for lighting. The emergency power back-up source is innovative in its approach as it provides a positive impact on the environment. The device can be used for backing up LED T5, T8 and PL-L Type B tubes. The major role this will play is in the case of power failure in industries such as health care, corporate offices, industrial units or institutions. A commonly used method for increasing the energy efficiency is to use LED Type B lamps for retrofitting the lighting systems after the ballast is removed from its circuit.
The TBEM10 follows NEC and NFPA guidelines for emergency lighting while providing 10 watts of continuous power for 90 minutes at a minimum, to a single LED Type B UL tube. This is highly efficient as compared to other alternate solutions available in the market, that is, the fluorescent emergency back-up systems. Despite using a wiring system and both switched and un-switches load wires same as the traditional emergency power back-up sources, the TBEM10 provides an energy saving solution as well.
The device comes with a test switch along with the installation instruction manual. The innovative emergency power back-up source can operate at a 120/277 VAC power, whether it is switched or un-switched and at a temperature range of 32° to 122°F. The charging system of this device consists of lithium-ion batteries with a life of over hundred deep cycles.
