Glennis Williams succeeds Paul Uhler as MSA’s new Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer

 Glennis Williams was announced as the new Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer of the Pennsylvania based safety equipment manufacturer MSA Safety Incorporated, (NYSE: MSA). Paul Uhler, Senior Vice-President and Chief Human Resource Officer of the company is expected to retire in the month of May this year.

Glennis Williams possesses about twenty years of experience in the field of human resource globally and had been working with an Indiana based conglomerate, Hillenbrand, Inc. that has several companies operating under its belt. Milacron was the last company that was acquired by Hillenbrand recently. During her tenure at Hillenbrand, Glennis Williams had been instrumental in leading the transformation of human resource services from a service delivery function to that of a driver of strategic talent as well as business outcomes. The main focus had been on the alignment of company’s people strategies to work in accordance with the long-term goals of the company.

Ms. Williams had also previously served as Vice President, Global Human Resources in Welbilt, Inc., Vice President, Human Resources in Komatsu (formerly known as Joy Global) and Westinghouse Electric Co., where she had performed in various capacities.

Nish Vartanian, the President and CEO of MSA had commented that considering the future of the company, the significance of having a strong leadership in Human Resources was necessary, particularly with strong emphasis laid on talent development for the company’s long-term growth goals. He further added that they are delighted to welcome Glennis into their team, especially considering her background and experience in Human Resource functions.

Glennis Williams had completed her graduation from Idaho State University. She has further completed her MBA from University of Phoenix, apart from holding certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt, Senior Human Resource Professional and Global HR Professional.
