Merrick Pet Care Inc. Committed to Match Donations Given to its Partner K9S for Warriors on GivingTuesday

Elkland, United States, Feb 05, 2020, 06:30 /Comserve / -- Merrick Pet Care, Inc. is set to join the GivingTuesday movement in order to match the donations made to its partner, K9s For Warriors.

K9S for Warriors is a charitable organization that is engaged in assisting veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) to provide the much-needed support that is expected by them. Merrick Pet Care, Inc. is trying to place the service offered to veterans at equal footing with that of a service dog that has been saved and placed at a high-kill shelter.

The donations made to K9s for Warriors on GivingTuesday will be doubled and the limit is upto USD 50,000. The entire set of funds that will be raised would be used for the purpose of supporting the efforts initiated by K9s for Warriors to train the dogs that are at the high-skill shelter and help the veterans to overcome their suffering and resume their journey to live their lives with dignity. The K9s for Warriors website can be accessed for making donations.

Rory Diamond, Chief Executive Officer for K9s for Warriors stated that financial supporters who donate for their cause are those who are actually saving two lives with an act of kindness, that includes a shelter dog that is not having much time left and a warrior who has been struggling from PTSD. Moreover, he also commented that Merrick Pet Care, their partner had been generous in offering their donations which has only further impacted the grant of donations every GivingTuesday.

Merrick and K9s for Warriors had been working together since 2015, wherein Merrick who had been serving as the exclusive dog food partner for K9s for Warriors had been providing the entire set of meals and treats during training. The total donations of Merrick to K9s for Warriors has crossed   USD 1 million that comprises of both food and monetary donations, which has been provided, as part of their support for the programs and clinical research that supply service dogs for helping heal veterans.

Tim Simonds, the CEO of Merrick Pet Care mentioned that dogs always possessed extraordinary capacity to understand human-beings, including helping humans find strength when they need it most. He further commented that they are honoured to partner with K9s for Warriors, as they have been helping the veterans find unconditional love that they deserve in a true best friend.
