August 24, 2020:  Paysend has announced a technology partnership with Alipay that will offer its users with cross-border money transfer. It will also give the customers a more convenient and inclusive range of services worldwide. Alipay is the biggest mobile payments company in China, operated by Ant Group. It is currently reported to serve approximately 1.3 billion customers along with its local e-wallet partners all around the world.

Paysend is authorised and controlled by FCA in UK and already services more than 2 million clients in more than 45 countries.

Just a year ago, Paysend had also launched its Paysend Link app. This application was launched to adapt to a newer approach to send and receive money. This app was developed on the services that Paysend already offers and this was an initiative taken by them to allow their users to pay anyone in the world with just their mobile number. Paysend has been known to always come up with new ways to make the payments simpler and now under this alliance, Paysend would allow the transfer of money across borders by overseas users via approved banks in China with the funds reaching bank accounts connected to the Alipay app. Paysend expects the partnership to particularly benefit migrant workers all around the globe, especially in Asia, where it has a foothold in the money transfer market through local partners.

The CEO of Paysend, Ronnie Millar stated that the company visions to use the latest technologies to render the payments quicker and simpler for millions of clients worldwide. The company is aiming to bring a new dimension of comfort and simplicity to the movement of money through its partnership with Alipay.

Ma Zhiguo, Alipay’s head of the global remittances business, stated that the company was looking forward to work closely with Paysend as the company continues to explore new approaches to apply their technology in order to benefit more people all around the world. He further stated that the company was committed to working with partners such as Paysend and use innovative technologies to support their consumers worldwide to gain access to inclusive financial solutions.
