Nuremberg and Rommerskirchen, Aug. 28, 2020 -- Siemens, along with J&K Technology which is a part of the J&K Group, have announced the development of the new CVal software solution for COMOS. A specialist in cGxP Compliance Services, J&K Technology has developed the CVal Solution. A digital process and plant validation software, CVal is used in the pharmaceutical industry and is based on Siemens COMOS Plant Engineering Software solution. A wide range of different modules based on the COMOS platform are involved in this along with the COMOS Data Document Management System (DDMS). It is due to this that the digital application consistently creates greater data integrity, quality, coherence, and topicality.
In the Pharmaceutical industry, companies have to make sure that their activities comply with regulatory requirements. These requirements include the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) – Annex 15: Qualification and Validation. Since 2015, quality assurance guidelines have already been adopted in this field. For engineering and life cycle processes in regulated industries, the Siemens COMOS software has already been successfully used for decades.
The new CVal software extension has the ability to link data to the COMOS engineering system from the documentation system. Due to this process, a digital and object-based life cycle management system is created. This ensures both data integrity and traceability. With the help of other COMOS software solution modules, CVal can easily be extended to produce efficient life cycle management processes within an application.
Data can be linked within itself and also with other plant equipment with the help of COMOS object orientation. This can help provide correct information where it is actually required. This results in the prevention of errors, especially those that are produced by manual data entry or matching interfaces. This can benefit all the disciplines involved in a plant, including engineering, operations, and compliance.
Siemens recently release their financial data of third quarter for the fiscal year 2020. Their revenue for Q3 2020 was recorded at EUR 13,491 million as compared to the previous year’s revenue during the same period, which was EUR 14,238 million, a decrease by 5% Y-o-Y.
