Berwyn, Illinois, August 3rd, 2020: Triumph Group, Inc. has announced that it has come into a definitive agreement with Arlington Capital Partners, for the sale of its composites operations business. The deal includes the sale of Triumph Aerospace Structures composites, located in Rayong (Thailand) and Milledgeville (Georgia, U.S.).
Daniel Crowley, the President and CEO of Triumph Group, stated in his comment that the deal aligned with the Company’s previously announced strategic plans to reduce its debt and focus on enhancing liquidity for its future business operations. He also further stated that the Company would focus on being a leading provider of systems and aftermarket service. Daniel also added that his Company is excited for partnering with Arlington Capital Partners, as the latter would benefit from the significant capabilities of the composites business, along with the availability of experienced workforce and embedded customer relationships at both the factories.
The composites business, which is sold to Arlington Capital Partners, is known to manufacture structural and engine composite fabrications as well as assemblies that serve defence platforms and both commercial and business jets. With around 600 people employed in its business operations, the composites business is spread over 800 thousand sq.ft. of factory space.
