Salem, US, Feb 04, 2020, 10:35 /Comserve / -- The Belgium based United Petfood has just added another private label producer to its portfolio of recent acquisitions over the past couple of years, with the private label producer of extruded dry cat and dog food set to expand its business further in the international market following its recent acquisition of the Italian private label producer Effeffe.
Effeffe, the Italian private label manufacturer of pet food for dogs and cats that had been conducting its operations from its facility located at Pieve Porto Morone was acquired by United Petfood, a Belgium based private label producer of dry cat and dog food, including biscuits and snacks for retailers and brand owners. This acquisition by United Petfood has been seen as a part of the larger efforts of the Belgian dog and cat food producer to reinforce its position in the global market.
The production site of Effeffe has been taken over by United Petfood, with the Belgian dog and cat food producer seeing a huge opportunity to expand its business operations in the Italian market. More opportunities for growth including technological capabilities are anticipated by United Petfood following the acquisition, which will help set up a solid base for the company and the possibility of uninterrupted connection for all of those who have been participants to the growth of the company.
Some of the recent acquisitions of United Petfood being the acquisition of “Animal Lovers”, a pet treat company based out of Netherlands, a Spanish based private label producer, “Bynsa Group” and the Romanian producer of pet food, Nordic Petfood.
United Petfood is currently selling its products in over 30 nations by specializing in production of dry dog and cat food under private label. Apart from the above, there has been a few acquisitions of factories at Poland, Spain and Romania, including a production site acquired at Coevorden in the Netherlands.
