Mumbai, Sept. 08, 2020 -- Two of India’s most admired brands, namely Vodafone and Idea Cellular, are now ‘Together For Tomorrow’ giving birth to a completely new brand called “Vi” (pronounced as “We”). This new brand has its eyes set on the future and is built around and for customers. Through a virtual launch, Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) communicated the new and unified consumer brand identity and positioning. This is the largest telecom integration in the world that was done through the integration of the two brands.
According to Ravinder Takkar, the MD & CEO of Vodafone Idea Limited, Vodafone and Idea were merged into an entity two years ago. Since then, there has been a focus on integrating the two large networks, people, and processes. This has led to the launch of Vi. Vi’s positioning has been built around a focus to meet customer needs. Takkar also mentioned that the integration of the brand is not only the completion of the largest telecom merger in the world but also the start of a journey that will offer world-class digital experiences to 1 billion Indians on their strong 4G network.
The new brand has been launched with a desire to delight their customers, stakeholders, communities, and employees. It also acts as a signal of passion and commitment to be a champion for Digital India.
