TORONTO, Aug. 05, 2020 -- Volaris Group has completed the purchase of Flash Networks. This acquisition was first announced on June 10, 2020.

Flash was founded in 1996 in Israel with a heritage in TCP/IP network performance. In 2007, Flash launched its Harmony platform which was specifically designed to create a safe, adaptive, fast and personalized user experience, all while harmonizing network infrastructure. Ever since then, Flash was able to accumulate customers which span in over 5 continents.

Flash’s customer base today includes global Tier 1 telecom operators such as Globe Telecom, T-Mobile, Verizon, Safaricom, Orange and Vodafone.

Volaris Group and Flash Networks have been in constant communication since 2016. Tomar Itah, CEO of Flash, feels that Volaris is the best home for Flash because it can provide access to its global communications customer and partner ecosystem. He also mentioned that Flash continues to operate autonomously, leveraging Volaris’ extensive experience in the field. This will help them grow sustainably.

Volaris has had a unique acquisition principle of ‘buy and hold forever’ which was appealing to Flash. Volaris also commits to allowing Flash to maintain its corporate identity and help accelerate the brand that took almost 2 decades to build.

Flash is well-known for being a provider of optimization solutions that can assist telecommunication operators in improving Radio Access Network spectral efficiency, optimize video and help generate over-the-top revenues with the help of mobile internet.

David Nyland, Portfolio Leader and President, Media & Communications vertical at Volaris expressed his excitement to bring a market-leading network optimization business into their portfolio. This was done to complement their existing companies and to provide mission-critical software capabilities to their ecosystem. He also exclaimed that he was impressed with how Flash was able to transform itself into a cloud native SDN and NFV deployment model with key players like Nokia and Ericsson.
