August 20, 2020: Smart Technology Services (STS) and Zwipe have reportedly reached an agreement to extend their partnership in order to industrialize Zwipe’s Pay ONE platform and provide sustenance to the payment cards that use dual interface biometrics. STS is a reputed manufacturer specializing in payment cards and biometric enabled payment systems.
Zwipe and Smart Technology Services first announced their partnership in in November 2018. They aimed at developing, testing, and launching a complete manufacturing solution that would make it easy for card manufacturers and issuers to implement a proven production environment for biometric payment cards.
STS have been in the market for a long time with their head offices in France, leading them to earn the reputation of being experts when it comes to the production of smart payment cards on an industrial scale. With the help of Zwipe, the company have also facilitated solutions that are designed to empower Smart Card Manufacturers (SCMs). With their solutions, SCMs can be ensured to operate on a platform without security concerns, thus enhancing their marketization.
Thierry Buisson, Chief Executive Officer of STS, was ecstatic at the prospect of an extended partnership with Zwipe. According to Buisson, Zwipe’s industry leading biometric payment system is the perfect platform for them to build on and use their industry level manufacturing capabilities to the best of their abilities. They plan to satisfy the extensive demands of SCMs and reach as many customers as possible in terms of the number of cards. They have been known to work in close capacities to optimize their services all throughout the previous year. They provide assistance to these SCMs and use them to bring out their smart cards to a wider public based on Zwipe’s Pay ONE platform. He also seemed optimistic about the future of the collaboration between the two companies and their services.
André Løvestam, the Chief Executive Officer of Zwipe also seemed to be on the same track. He reaffirmed that their partnership with STS is going to be instrumental, as they plan to utilize the company’s expertise to alleviate risks as well as optimize the usage of funds and capitals for the production of payment cards. These biometric systems are a tool to further strengthen the two companies’ foothold in the industrialization of these modern payment portals.
